All singers, songwriters and music producers who are interested in entering the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission’s (JCDC) 2019 Jamaica Festival Song Competition will be elated to note that the deadline for entry for the competition has been extended to Monday, April 1.

Kingston, Jamaica: The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission’s (JCDC) 2019 National Children’s Gospel Competition will see its final audition today, Friday, March 22 at the Eastwood Park New Testament Church, Kingston 10, beginning at 9:30 am.

Intelligent, culturally-aware, poised and empowered young women who are interested in entering the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission’s (JCDC) 2019 Miss Jamaica Festival Queen Competition only have until this Friday, March 22 to do so.

The Western Region will see the first of its two workshops, covering the parishes of Hanover and Westmoreland on Wednesday, March 20 at the Savanna La Mar United Church Hall, Beckford Street, Westmoreland.

As early preparations continue for the 2019 Festival Song Competition, the JCDC recently hosted the second of two workshops aimed at helping contestants sharpen their skills as they prepare their entries for the contest.

Kingston, Jamaica: Participants at the recently held Jamaica Festival Song 2019 Eastern Regional Workshop expressed their excitement at being able to take part in the informative and ‘eye opening’ free session, which severed as an introduction to the local music industry.

The Jamaica Gospel Song Competition has selected the 2019 top ten finalists, who will compete at the competition’s grand final during the national Independence celebrations in August.

The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) is currently on an island-wide search for empowered young women who are intelligent, culturally-aware and poised and are seeking a platform to make their contributions to nation building.
